A common phrase I am sure and one that you may have said yourself if you are into losing weight
I get it, we have been there. We may not have been anything more than about 2 stone “overweight” but we get it
The feeling that there is a massive barrier or block as to why you cannot just do the do
It’s like some invisible force you are looking through the paper bag which has turned transparent with the doughnut fat
You know what you want, but you just cannot get to it
Frustrating
Annoying
Overwhelming
Why does this happen?
There are lots of reasons
(Let’s just be honest here and lay it on the table, if you are easily offended don’t read on)
It could be confusion
It could be the fact you have not got your priorities in check
It could be you don’t have any support
It could be some excuse like time or money
It could be your just lazy and cannot be bothered
Usually, it is about some BS as to WHY you cannot do something
I’m too old
I don’t have the time
I don’t have the money
I don’t think I’m worth the effort
I don’t want to change in case anyone notices me
How do we know this to be TRUTH?
Because we have coached 1000’s of people all who want to lose weight all with the same phrases and reasons
PLUS we have been there as we said
We get it, and to be honest, in our situation, it is usually 9 times out of 10
Time, we don’t have time, we don’t put these things above our priority of the business
It goes to the bottom of the pile and answering emails, and building a business comes first
Plus sometimes, hand on heart I know from my perspective (Loz) I simply just cannot be arsed
It’s too much like hard work getting all sweaty
One way out of this is to change your question
I said to one of our Rock Solid FreedomFighters on F90 the other day
(F90 is our signature mentoring program for people who want to change their lifelong habits which stop them from losing weight and being happy in life)
‘You know what to do your just not doing it right?”
“Yes”
“Ok so let me ask you this, what WILL you do? What are you prepared to do?”
Changes the game, asking a different question
Instead of having that cycle of I don’t know what to do, why is this so frustrating
Change your focus, change the question
I know that is what we do all the time
What WILL you do today? What are you prepared to do?
