1. scares the living bejeebus out of us
2. Makes up so happy we could skip to work
Usually, however it is no1, I think you will agree
That sinking feeling you get, and then the bottom lip pouts out as the number is not what you expected at all
I’ve worked so hard
Commence the eating of the chocolate, the scoffing of the biscuits, and the spoon in the ice cream tub
The real issue here is NOT the number it is the fear of the number
How do I know this, because I have been there, AND we have coached 100’s of people who thought the same as me
I used to be one of those people who would weight themselves CONSTANTLY!
In the morning
After food
After a poo
After a workout
After drinking
I would even get up every hour on the hour at night and weigh myself. I actually found out I don’t lose weight until about 3am (odd)
The problem is we are scared of the number we see because we don’t understand it
I signed up to slimming company because I wanted to know what it was all about
(I am not slating anyone here bear with me)
One of the emails I got read along the lines
“Have you lost weight on the scales this week”
It kind in infuriated me because the problem is all of us would be lead to believe that the scales are the only measurements of happiness and success and if that’s the case for you then you are in for a whole sh*t show of a ride
What most of us don’t understand, I included, is that we have what I call a
WEIGHT CYCLE
This is a cycle of our natural body weight that we go through, and it depends on 7 factors
1. Sleep or lack of it
2. Water and how much we drink or DO NOT drink
3. Water retention in our bodies
4. The stress we are under
5. Our reaction to working out
6. Ladies – periods and hormones
7. Digestions issues (poo in your body still that has not come out yet)
ALSO, the bonus one is the air pressure changes from being in an aeroplane
I could give both personal AND clients stories for each and every single one of these
(I actually weighed myself for 6 months solid with no emotion attached to it to find all this out and I am still learning)
Over the 6 months I learned that the scales are not the BEST and ONLY way to meaure your weight loss. They are not to be taken at the sole measure.

Scoring yourself on what you want to achieve by picking a THING and working towards that
Clothes you have in your wardrobe (of course different shops in the high street differ, head over to our YouTube channel to find out about that as I did a join vlog with Beautiful Things about why don’t clothes fit me?)
There are loads of ways, remember the scales are just an indication of gravity and how “heavy” you are on the day at that time
It can change depending on a big poo! 😉
If this has helped today and you got a sense of relief then please share this blog and share the love!
